Why is Tire Pressure Important?

Most car owners tend to forget about checking their tire pressure until it's too late. One morning, you're greeted by a flat tire or experience a blowout when driving down the road. Keeping your tires properly inflated can do more than save you from breaking down, it can even save you money at the gas pump.

When your tires are low on air, your engine has to consume more gas in order to propel your car forward. This can add up to dozens of gallons over time in addition to causing uneven wear on your tire's tread. Overinflating your tires can have a similar effect of causing an uneven wear pattern on your tires. Ideally, you should check your tire pressure at least once a month, as the air naturally escapes over time and will need to be refilled periodically.

We'll check your tread, inflate your tires, rotate them or install an entirely new set for you when you visit Garcia Honda Albuquerque.
